ALTAIR FOUR came from the love of playing music in dimly lit bars.

....Jack Stinson, after two years as the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and front man for the electric Blues band MLC Project, felt it was time to strike off in a different direction. Time to return more to his musical roots, and (in addition to enjoying playing the classic tunes) once again perform more of his own original song writing.
.....Pat Betts had just finished a long stint as the lead guitarist with The Metrognomes. After that band broke up, Pat was hitting some of the blues jams. It just happened that Pat played guitar on one of the jam sets at the October 16th Thirsty Ear CBA Jam night. Jack was fronting the host band that night (MLC Project).
.....Jack and Pat found they had similar musical taste, and started talking about the possibilities of playing together... They discovered that they meshed well both in personality and music: the rest is history.
.....ALTAIR FOUR was formed as a vehicle to delve deeper into some of the roots of rock'n'roll, mix it with a little blues, throw in some some funk, and also to perform our own original music.
.....Stripping the songs down to their basic components, and rebuilding them into ALTAIR FOUR's own stylings, what emerges is somewhat eclectic, somewhat different, somewhat unusual, but always entertaining.
